Celebrating National Sew-A-Jelly Roll Day
Probably a celebration from USA but National Sew A Jelly Roll Day celebrates quilters of every generation and skill level with event and I for one was happy to get involved. I love Jelly Rolls!
This year National Sew-A-Jelly Roll Day was September 15th, and coincidentally it happened to be the day that my Jelly Roll quilt, commissioned by a dear friend, was completed and gifted.
I had made this quilt before but the first one was just too big for the space available, so, on request, I made it again but this time to size. Pleased to say we were all delighted with the results:
It was a combination of 'Ahoy there My Hearties' by Moda; 'Beachcomber' by Makower; 'City Lights' by Lewis & Irene and 'Dimples' by MakowerUK - making up this Skyline design. Hues of blue and copper making it a bold and striking wall hanging, perfect for the space allotted.
